Ingredients
- 450 g calamari fresh and raw
- 1 extra large egg
- 1/2 cup coconut flour preferably organic
- 1 tsp pink himalayan salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 56 ml coconut oil organic is best
- 20 ml lemon juice unsweetened
- 160 g carbsmat mayonnaise
Instructions
- In a bowl beat the egg. In another bowl combine the coconut flour and dry ingredients.
- Pat the calamari dry and dip into the beaten egg then dredge through the flour mixture before dropping into the pan to fry.
- Cooking in batches making sure to not overcrowd the pan, fry 2 minutes per side until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
- Either serve as is or toss with chillies of your choice if you wish and add enough carbsmart mayonnaise and some lemon juice.
